Carer Support Services (CSS) provide respite, general support, and information to families of people with a disability. We encourage you to phone CSS to ask for individual respite. Their role is to provide temporary respite, so you will remain on their books for a period of 3 months. However, if after that three month period you need respite again, all you have to do is phone again and CSS will reopen your file. BAAG members are encouraged to phone and ask for respite. They won't know our needs if we don't tell them!
CSS also have a Young Carers Program. This is suitable for school aged siblings who help look after the family member who has an ASD. Phone Chris Slattery 1800 068 978
